These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Common Thread & Co website and any purchases made through it. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.


1. About Common Thread & Co

Common Thread & Co (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian-registered business offering apparel and accessories through an online store. Our products are made to order using trusted on-demand partners.

We sell internationally, including to customers in the United States.


2. Made-to-Order Products

All Common Thread & Co products are made to order, meaning production begins after your order is placed.

This allows us to:

  • Reduce waste and overproduction

  • Offer thoughtful, limited-run designs

  • Focus on quality and intention

As a result, orders cannot be changed or cancelled once production has started.


3. Orders & Acceptance

  • Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase.

  • Orders are accepted once payment is processed and confirmation is sent.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders due to errors, availability issues, or suspected fraud.

If an order is cancelled after payment, a full refund will be issued.


4. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout.

  • Prices may change without notice.

  • Taxes, duties, or import fees may apply and are the responsibility of the customer unless stated otherwise.

Payments are processed securely through Shopify-approved third-party providers.


5. Shipping & Delivery

Production typically takes 2–5 business days before shipping.

Estimated delivery times:

  • United States: 3–7 business days

  • International: 7–15 business days

Shipping times are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.

Orders containing multiple items may arrive in separate shipments.


6. Returns, Refunds & Issues

Because our items are made to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect sizing, or personal preference.

However, if your item arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Mis-embroidered

  • Mis-printed

  • Or incorrect

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under:

  • The Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

  • Applicable United States consumer protection laws


7. Size Guide

Size guides are provided as a reference to help you choose with confidence. We are not responsible for sizing issues resulting from customer selection.

If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up.


8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including designs, images, text, logos, and graphics — is the property of Common Thread & Co or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.


9. Use of Website

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to disrupt site security or functionality

  • Upload harmful or malicious content

We reserve the right to restrict access if misuse occurs.


10. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for payment processing, fulfilment, and shipping. While we carefully select our partners, we are not responsible for their actions beyond our reasonable control.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected product

This does not exclude consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by law.


12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Common Thread & Co from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the website.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

For customers in the United States, nothing in these Terms limits rights provided under applicable US consumer laws.


14. US Arbitration Clause (Optional but Common)

If you are a customer located in the United States, you agree that any dispute or claim arising from or relating to your use of the website or purchase of products will be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.

  • Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis

  • You waive the right to participate in class actions

  • Arbitration will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act

This clause does not apply where prohibited by law or where consumer rights cannot be waived.


15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on the website.

Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
